Organizational Reinvigoration is a service offering that utilizes proven methodologies to ensure that your employees are energized and focused on the right things. Our formula is:
Business Model Innovation + Re-engagement = Organizational Reinvigoration
a pragmatic plan powered by passion!
Business Model Innovation
The first element is Business Model Innovation, which we define simply as “who pays whom for what, how, and why” — end-to-end, not just at the point of customer delivery. Business models are a key element of your strategy. We work with you and your teams using our proven methodology to document and depict your currents set of business models (yes, most business have many operating concurrently — even some they do not fully realize!).
We then assess the market forces (economic, competitive, etc.) as well as your current assets and future capabilities to develop a candidate set of potentially viable models. From there we further assess (financial, risk analysis) and determine which model(s) to employ over what timeperiod (developing a roadmap). We do this in close collaboration every step of the way. Different business models can transform competitive weaknesses into strengths, or strengths into game-changers. We help you devise the right new business models for your circumstances.
Re-engagement
Getting the business model(s) right is “necessary, but not sufficient.” You also need to have employees who are are emotionally engaged. We believe that your business model should draw on “what gets you and your employees out of the bed in the morning,” including your missions, passions, values, talents, experiences, priorities, and dreams. The more of YOU and your employees that can be brought to work, and the more your leaders can understand and incorporate what gets you all going, the happier and more productive you will be. To these ends, organizational re-engagement helps you make up, and surpass, the gap between what your employees can currently deliver (especially given the current downsized landscape), and actual workload — without burning them out!
Where does this engagement need to happen? Three critical places: executive leaders, for they set the overall tone of the organization; front line managers, as they most directly influence your employee’s performance; and with each individual.
How is this engagement accomplished? Using proprietary tools, we start with key leaders, then quickly expand to teams and the larger organization, through a combination of individual sessions and team workshops. The result ensures that your employees are energized, “on the bus,” and all headed in the same direction.
The impacts of organizational re-engagement on profitability are far reaching, accretive, and contagious: productivity increases, ‘employer of choice’ status, better retention and accountability, reduced health care costs, jumps in innovation and product/service quality, sales growth, and enhanced customer satisfaction and brand ratings all follow.
The Combination: Organizational Reinvigoration
Although business model innovation and re-engagement yield good results individually, they are even more effective when integrated. We combine our proven processes, to ensure that your re-engaged teams can focus their passion on new, innovative business models. And the process of assessing competitive strengths and developing new models helps your people rediscover and reconnect with their passions.
As Jim Collins points out in Good to Great, great companies understand what they can be best at, what drives their economic engine, and what they are most passionate about. Organizational Reinvigoration focuses on all three dimensions.
